This stunning Cotton Cambric is first hand woven, then hand block printed with wax resist, before being naturally dyed with Indigo. Because of its completely hand made nature there can be variations in the weave and print. This is a celebration of the fabrics journey and we believe should be honoured duly! The fabric is produced by a small fair trade community in rural India, The cotton is grown locally without pesticides (although non certified organic as this costs the farmers too much money). Cambric is a closely woven cloth with a little texture. Best known as 'Linen cambric' it has been produced in Cotton for many years now. Suitable for summer dresses, tops, skirts, trousers, light jackets with lining.
Wash at 30 degrees. Wash dark colours seperately as Indigo will leech a little each wash. Dry naturally to preserve the colour for longer. Will fade beautifully over time.
Handmade in India
Currently dreaming of an Ilford Jacket in this beauty.
