Advanced Knit Repair with Alexandra Brinck, Sunday 21st January, 12-3pm
In this workshop, we build on the techniques from the ‘Introduction to invisible knit repair’, and look at ways to refine your repair work and take it to the next level. Alexandra will show how to work in duplicate stitch on textured fabrics such as ribbing, and how to repair frayed edges and damaged attachment seams. You will also learn how to carry out basic alterations on knitted garments.
You will be using the tools from the ‘Introduction to Invisible Knit Repair’ workshop, so please bring these with you. You will also receive a complementary toolkit with additional tools and materials needed for the workshop. (If you do not have the tools from the previous course, replacements will be available to borrow or purchase on the day.)
This workshop builds on the skills from the 'Introduction to Invisible Knit Repair', so course participants should ideally have taken that workshop first. For interested candidates who have not done the intro course, please contact the shop email before making a booking to ensure that this workshop will be suitable.
