Stag & Bow

Stag and Bow host a continuously evolving wide programme of workshops from beginners’ standards - knitting, crochet and understanding your sewing machine - to more advanced classes in spoon carving, felting, lino printing and more. We also run classes themed round new book and product launches. Many of our tutors are local makers.

October 8th - Confident Beginners Sew a Skirt, Tuesday 6:30-9:30pm

The Rae skirt is designed for true beginners. If you can work a sewing machine and follow directions, you can make this skirt! The beginner-level sewing project you'll actually want to wear!

Fabric is not included in this class but we will provide all the notions, machines, threads and elastics etc ( tea and cake!)

About the pattern:

Choose to make either A, B or C and purchase the length of fabric required. A is an above the knee skirt with a slightly full silhouette. View B is the same length as A but with more fullness, and View C is a knee-length version of view B.

Recommended Fabrics:

Lightweight woven fabrics such as cotton and cotton blends, challis, rayon, linen and linen blends. Choose lightweight fabrics that will not be too bulky when gathered. Not recommended for plaids or stripes.
