Gift vouchers
At this point they can be purchased on line but not redeemed on products other than workshops online – You will have the option of us posting out a gift voucher to your chosen address or sending you through an email voucher to print out. We are working on being able to spend vouchers online. You are most welcome to pop into the shop to spend in the time being!
Returns, refunds and replacements!
If you need to return a product please do so within 14 days for exchange or shop credit. We cannot accept returns on cut fabric, ribbons, trims or opened skeins of yarn or threads. If you need to exchange an unopened item in its original state the cost of postage will be paid for by the customer, we ask that you send the item by recorded delivery and keep the receipt as we cannot be held liable for any loss due to Royal Mail. If an item is damaged we will replace the item and cover the cost of delivery and return. If an item is faulty and has a manufacturers guarantee we ask that you please take this up directly with the manufacturer.
Shipping;
All ‘in stock’ orders received before Sunday are shipped on Monday.
We believe in great customer service. We want to have a lovely time in everything that we do, so our communication is transparent and honest. As some of our products are handmade to order, the delivery time may differ, so there is no blanket delivery time here. In this case we will let you know how long it will take to deliver these goods and keep you in the loop if anything goes astray. If something is out of stock and going to take ages we’ll let you know and ask you what you want to do. Shipping times vary based on the method selected at checkout. We use Royal mail and Hermes couriers for bigger parcels. Where there is a tracking number issued we will let you know it!
Workshops, materials and our cancellation policy
You may book a workshop through our website, in person in the shop or over the phone. If a workshop is cancelled you will receive a full refund or a credit for another workshop as you wish. Sometimes we have to cancel workshops because there is not enough take up of customers to run it. We will let you know 48 hours before the workshop is due to run. If in the case of a tutor not being able to teach the workshop at the last minute due to personal circumstances (this has never happened) we will let you know ASAP, apologise profusely and arrange a refund/postponement/another teacher. Please note that we are liable only for the running of the workshop and not for the cost of travel, accommodation or materials bought in advance. We ask kindly that you don’t use any of our workshop material for running your own classes or business purposes. Every workshop will state which materials are included if any. You may purchase materials from us prior to the workshop and receive a 10% discount with a code given on booking.
Late policy
Our workshops will start promptly. If you are late you may join the class within 30 minutes but please be aware the tutor may not be able to go back over what you have missed as there is a lot to go through in our workshops and time is limited.
Our planet and packaging
We will send out your goods in recycled recyclable packaging. If there is any plastic used in any of our packaging it will be recycled plastic for recycling. It is interesting to note the difference between the effects of plastic and paper packaging on the environment. Studies into the carbon footprint of paper recycling and paper production compared with the carbon footprint of plastic recycling are barely negotiable. Having never found plastic attractive (speaking for the team here) and being a believer in leaving nothing but a footprint (NOT a carbon one) it is very difficult to get around this as we are a consuming society. The intention from the very birth of Stag & Bow was and is to share beautiful honest materials for making your own beautiful, honest projects, along with beautifully made, honest products by others skilled hands. Not harming anyone or anything. Using and celebrating the wonderful resources we have.
So in long – but in short – if you could come to the shop and buy things in person and pop your items into your (handmade) re-usable shopping bag that would be ace. Thanks. But! If not, please be assured that we treat with care and respect our Earth and never overuse unnecessary packaging asking that you re-use it yourself as much as possible or recycle or compost it.
